Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Unit

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic Health System as a Registered Nurse on the 5 Seidman Renal Unit at Hillcrest Hospital. This night shift position provides comprehensive care to acutely ill adult and geriatric patients with renal, respiratory, cardiac, diabetes, and other chronic conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and follow physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate discharge needs and educate patients and families.
• Utilize specialized treatments such as peritoneal dialysis, cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and nutritional support.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• At least one year of acute care RN experience or military RN experience.

Required skills

• RN licensure.
• BLS certification.
• Acute care nursing experience.
