Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (Night Shift)

About the role

The Intensive Care Unit at Mercy Hospital, part of the Cleveland Clinic Health System, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for night shift coverage. You will provide critical care to patients with life‑threatening conditions using advanced technology and multidisciplinary teamwork.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care, monitor and document patient conditions, and administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Perform and assist with critical procedures such as intubation, therapeutic temperature management (TTM), continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), bronchoscopy, intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring, and organ donation support.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN) with current RN licensure.
• Minimum one year of acute care RN experience (or equivalent military RN experience) and BLS certification; ACLS certification required within one year of hire.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Proficiency with critical care procedures: intubation, TTM, CRRT, bronchoscopy, ICP monitoring, organ donation protocols.
