Registered Nurse – Hospice (Home Care)

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Business Operations Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide hospice care to patients in the Greater Cleveland, Akron and Canton areas. This role offers a flexible schedule with independent work, allowing a healthy work‑life balance while delivering comfort‑focused care in patients' homes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive admissions assessments, reassessments, and ongoing patient evaluations.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, focusing on pain management and patient comfort.
• Coordinate and manage a caseload of hospice patients, documenting changes in condition and care effectiveness.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about diagnoses, equipment use, medication safety, and self‑care.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current Ohio RN licensure.
• Minimum one year of clinical experience in acute medical‑surgical or critical care settings.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance meeting required coverage.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and occasional holidays as scheduled.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency in medication administration and hospice care protocols.
