Registered Nurse – Hospice Care

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) Hospice position provides compassionate, patient‑first care to individuals and families facing end‑of‑life situations in the Southwest Ohio area. You will work independently with a flexible evening schedule, supporting patients in their homes while collaborating with a multidisciplinary hospice team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive admissions assessments, ongoing re‑assessments, and safety evaluations.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, focusing on comfort and pain management.
• Document patient conditions, care interventions, and updates to the plan of care.
• Coordinate care across physicians, social workers, home health aides, and volunteers.
• Provide education to patients, caregivers, and families about diagnoses, equipment use, medication safety, and self‑care.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program and hold current Ohio RN licensure.
• Minimum one year of clinical experience in acute medical‑surgical or critical care settings.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Valid driver’s license with required automobile insurance coverage.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) and hospice/palliative care certification.
