Registered Nurse – Hematology & Oncology Clinic (Full‑Time)

About the role

The University of Miami is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join its Hematology & Oncology Clinic on a full‑time basis. You will provide direct patient care, support treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high‑quality outcomes for patients facing blood‑related cancers.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and report changes in condition and vital signs.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient responses, physician orders, and diagnostic test results.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments while considering age and cultural factors.
• Provide psychological support and maintain a compassionate environment.
• Administer medications safely, keep accurate medication records, and comply with regulatory guidelines (e.g., HIPAA).
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and team members, and assist with discharge planning.
• Operate medical equipment, prioritize assignments, and adapt to changing work demands.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Active Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• No prior experience required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
