Registered Nurse – Flex (Night Shift)

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a flexible Registered Nurse for night‑shift work in the ICU at its Hazleton location. The RN will provide professional nursing care, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients, collaborating with physicians and the care team.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course and support smooth transitions of care.
• Participate in performance improvement processes and evidence‑based practice projects.
• Teach, mentor, and precept new colleagues and interns as needed.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Successful completion of orientation programs and maintenance of unit‑specific competencies.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage patient assignments in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and technology‑enabled care delivery.
