About the role
Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a flexible Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care in the Emergency Room at Lehigh Valley Hospital‑Hazleton. The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in line with facility policies.
Key responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for designated patients, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
- Provide patient and family education, support safe work environment, and participate in performance improvement and evidence‑based practice projects.
- Perform validated technical skills, utilize technology for care delivery, and mentor new colleagues or interns as assigned.
Required profile
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in Pennsylvania.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (required upon hire).
- Ability to organize, prioritize assignments and maintain unit‑specific competencies.
Required skills
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
