Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Night Shift)

About the role

Join the Emergency Department at Mercy Hospital, a verified Level II Trauma Center within the Cleveland Clinic Health System. This full‑time night‑shift position (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) provides 24/7 critical care to patients and families in need.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• At least one year of acute‑care or Emergency Department RN experience (military experience considered).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications upon hire or within one year.
• Completion of Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) upon hire or within one year.
