Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is a Magnet Hospital, and its Emergency Department is the only Level II Trauma Center on Cleveland’s east side. As an RN you will use your comprehensive skills to deliver rapid, high‑quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to emergency patients.
• Implement, monitor, and update patient care plans.
• Record and communicate patients’ conditions to the care team.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders accurately.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and families, considering cultural and special concerns.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per protocol.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current RN licensure in the state.
• At least one year of acute‑care RN experience or military RN experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• TNCC (adult) or ENPC (pediatric) certification within 24 months of hire; PALS certification within one year.
