About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse to work a day shift on a 72‑hour bi‑weekly schedule in a Med/Surg/Telemetry unit at its Hazleton hospital. The position offers a $30,000 sign‑on bonus and the chance to join a Magnet‑recognized, award‑winning health system.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for designated assignments, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course to ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Maintain a safe work environment, adhere to evidence‑based practice, and participate in performance‑improvement initiatives.
• Perform validated technical skills specific to the Med/Surg/Telemetry specialty, including use of unit technology.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and current RN license in Pennsylvania.
• Successful completion of unit orientation and maintenance of unit‑specific competencies.
• Ability to organize, prioritize assignments, and lift/carry up to 50 lb.

Required skills

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and technology use.
