Registered Nurse – Complex Med/Surg Unit

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 5th Floor General Medicine/Geriatric Medicine Unit at Hillcrest Hospital. This 59‑bed unit provides medical, neurological and telemetry care to adult and geriatric patients. The RN will work day shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, with alternating weekends and holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, implement and monitor patient care plans, and document patient conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to nursing protocols.
• Assess and coordinate discharge needs, and educate patients and families while respecting cultural considerations.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) with current RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of acute‑care or military RN experience.

Required skills

• RN licensure and active state registration.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Medication administration and adherence to nursing protocols.
