Registered Nurse – Complex Med/Surg (Night Shift)

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 5th Floor General Medicine/Geriatric Medicine Unit at Hillcrest Hospital. This night‑shift position (7:00 pm‑7:30 am) provides direct care to adult and geriatric patients requiring medical, neurological and telemetry services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions and update plans of care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to nursing protocols.
• Educate patients and families, considering cultural and special concerns.
• Assess discharge needs and coordinate follow‑up care.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of acute care RN experience or equivalent military RN experience.

Required skills

• RN licensure and clinical competency.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability to perform medication administration and patient monitoring.
