About the role
Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care, assess patient needs, and coordinate treatment plans in an acute care setting.
Key responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
- Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course and support smooth transitions of care.
- Participate in performance improvement processes and evidence‑based practice projects.
- Teach, mentor, and precept new colleagues and interns as needed.
Required profile
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in Pennsylvania.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and deliver patient care assignments.
- Successful completion of unit‑specific orientation and competency assessments.
- Basic computer proficiency and BLS certification upon hire.
Required skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association.
- Basic computer skills.
- Clinical technical skills specific to the unit’s specialty.
