Registered Nurse – 2B Unit

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 2B Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital‑Pocono. The RN will provide professional nursing care, assess patient needs, and coordinate treatment plans in a fast‑paced acute‑care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course to ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Participate in evidence‑based practice, quality and safety initiatives, and performance improvement processes.
• Perform validated technical skills and utilize technology to optimize care delivery.
• Teach, mentor, and precept new colleagues and interns, delegating tasks based on skill and patient acuity.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN license in Pennsylvania.
• Ability to organize and prioritize assignments and maintain unit‑specific competencies.
• Successful completion of orientation programs related to the specialty.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work night shift schedule (7 pm‑7:30 am) with rotating weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Competence in performing unit‑specific technical nursing skills.
