Registered Nurse 2 – Outpatient Multispecialty Clinic

About the role

The Registered Nurse 2 provides patient‑family centered care in an outpatient multispecialty clinic at the University of Miami Health System. This full‑time position focuses on delivering culturally competent, evidence‑based nursing services while supervising allied health staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, document nursing care, and modify treatment plans based on physician orders and patient response.
• Review diagnostic tests, report findings, and collaborate with physicians to develop care plans.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural factors.
• Administer medications safely, maintain accurate medication records, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff, providing feedback and supporting their integration into the clinical environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum two years of relevant nursing experience.
• Valid State of Florida RN license.
• Demonstrated learning agility, teamwork, technical proficiency with office software, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
