Patient Access Representative 2 – Full-time Onsite

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Clinical Access is seeking a full‑time Patient Access Representative 2 to work at the Lennar location. In this role you will register patients for clinical services, verify insurance benefits, explain required documents, and collect payments.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain, confirm, and enter demographic, financial, and clinical information for financial clearance of scheduled patient accounts.
• Verify insurance eligibility, obtain authorizations, pre‑certifications, and referrals, and notify patients of any liabilities.
• Contact patients’ families or physicians’ offices to gather missing insurance information and collaborate with scheduling departments on add‑on patients.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in the system of record while adhering to university policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures and principles; ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
