About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Digestive Disease & Surgery Institute seeks a Registered Dietitian to provide individualized medical nutrition therapy, education, and counseling to patients across the campus.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement personalized nutrition care plans, document interventions, and follow‑up with patients.
  • Assess patients for nutritional deficiencies, evaluate fluids/electrolytes, review labs, and communicate findings to physicians.
  • Write diet order changes, conduct nutrient intake assessments, and maintain accurate records.
  • Create and revise patient education materials, support program development, and market nutrition services.
  • Serve as a preceptor for dietetic interns and deliver classroom instruction.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics or related field.
  • Current state licensure and active Registered Dietitian (RD) certification.
  • At least one year of clinical nutrition experience (or completion of a dietetic internship).
  • Ability to navigate the hospital, perform patient measurements, and use standard protective equipment.
