Regional Registered Dietitian - Maple Grove

About the role

Hy-Vee is hiring a Corporate Regional Registered Dietitian in Maple Grove, Minnesota, within its Health department. The role oversees the nutritional needs of 1 to 3 store locations and provides individualized nutrition counseling for various health conditions, as well as health screenings such as biometric, hemoglobin A1C, Omega-3 Index and Vitamin D tests. It also covers group presentations, personalized shopping assistance and media representation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalized nutrition counseling and keep current on nutrition topics and trends
• Conduct health screenings (biometric, hemoglobin A1C, Omega-3 Index, Vitamin D)
• Organize and run group presentations and classes, in person and virtually
• Implement strategies to increase referral rates and analyze data to improve programs
• Represent the Hy-Vee brand in TV, radio, podcasts and newspapers, completing media training
• Stay informed on store food products and assist customers with personalized shopping
• Maintain company and store policies, obtain HIPAA certification and respect patient confidentiality
• Complete continuing education hours for state and national dietetic registration
• Perform other duties and special projects as needed

Required profile

• Four-year college degree and a dietetic internship approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
• Certification as a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian for the state(s) supported
• At least six months of similar or related work experience
• Ability to see detail at near range, lift or carry up to 10 pounds occasionally, and perform stooping, kneeling, reaching and repetitive motions

The anticipated starting wage is $26.00 to $32.50 per hour depending on experience. Employment is contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screen. The position is non-exempt and reports to the Assistant Vice President, Dietitian Services.
