About the role
The Regional Operations Manager (ROM) leads performance, consistency, and growth across a portfolio of dental practices in the Sacramento region. Reporting to the VP of Operations, the ROM translates corporate strategy into daily actions, overseeing practice administrators and office managers to ensure optimal scheduling, patient flow, and revenue cycle execution.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee 10‑25 dental offices and directly lead 3‑5 Practice Administrators.
- Drive regional performance on revenue, growth, and operational KPIs such as schedule utilization, new patient acquisition, production, collections, and case acceptance.
- Conduct weekly performance reviews, identify gaps, and implement corrective action plans.
- Enforce and optimize Harmonized Scheduling (HAS) to align provider capacity with patient demand.
- Partner with call center, online scheduler, and other scheduling tools to improve patient flow.
- Ensure disciplined execution of treatment planning, insurance verification, billing accuracy, and collections within the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) process.
- Translate data into actionable insights, monitor trends, and support forecasting and reporting.
- Coach, develop, and hold Practice Administrators accountable; support hiring and onboarding.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Clinical, Finance, and Call Center teams.
Required profile
- 5+ years of multi‑site operations leadership, preferably in the dental or healthcare sector.
- Proven track record of improving KPIs and managing leaders.
- Strong analytical abilities and experience with P&L statements.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Willingness to travel within California.
