Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – Remote (California)

About the role

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Salma Health, you will deliver evidence‑based mental health care to adults and older adults in a virtual, rapid‑access setting. The role blends psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and advanced neuromodulation techniques such as TMS and Spravato within a measurement‑based care framework.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct 90‑minute psychiatric diagnostic evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Manage psychiatric disorders using psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and non‑pharmacologic approaches.
• Utilize measurement‑based care tools and coordinate care with the Care Coordination team.
• Identify patients suitable for interventional psychiatry (TMS, Spravato) and initiate referrals.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with clinic policies.

Required profile

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing.
• Board certification as a PMHNP by the ANCC.
• Active DEA registration and BLS certification.
• Unencumbered California NP license (NP furnishing number preferred).
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume intake environment.

Required skills

• Measurement‑Based Care tools.
• Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
• Esketamine (Spravato) and accelerated neurostimulation modalities.
• Psychopharmacology expertise.
