Regional Medical Scientific Director – Immunology GI (North Texas)

About the role

The Regional Medical Scientific Director (Medical Science Liaison) will serve as a therapeutic expert in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Immunology, facilitating scientific exchange between MSD and key opinion leaders across northern Texas.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with national and regional scientific leaders, providing balanced, factual scientific information about MSD products and non‑product areas.
• Support research initiatives by identifying potential investigators, conducting site initiation visits, and addressing barriers to patient enrollment for phase II‑IV clinical trials.
• Represent MSD at scientific congresses and medical meetings, facilitating data exchange and gathering insights to inform company strategy.

Required profile

• PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD with at least three years of relevant Immunology (IBD) experience beyond the terminal degree.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct doctoral‑level scientific discussions, strong stakeholder management, and thorough knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and related regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, OneNote).
• Experience using virtual meeting platforms for remote scientific exchange.
