Regional General Manager - Central US

About the role

Richelieu, a North American distributor, importer and manufacturer of specialty hardware, is looking for a Regional General Manager to take full operational responsibility for Texas, Missouri, Kansas, New Mexico, Colorado, Arkansas and Louisiana. The GM manages people, processes and overall company performance, including sales and profitability, warehouse operations and customer service, and reports directly to the GM are Branch Managers and Sales Managers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive regional sales growth through existing customers and new business, coaching and directing sales managers and the outside sales team
• Own the strategic growth of key customer accounts
• Support Branch Managers so that customer orders are processed accurately, safely and on time
• Hold full accountability for the region's P&L
• Ensure effective communication across customer service and shipping/receiving functions
• Make sure logistics operations comply with environmental, health and safety regulations
• Oversee hiring, supervision and training of employees, and advise managers on recruitment and team development
• Improve processes and procedures across departments and track daily KPIs for sales and operations
• Lead from the front to build a positive working culture

Required profile

• Experience in industrial or building materials distribution, with leadership of outside sales and operations teams
• Commercial or sales-driven mindset, ideally with sales leadership experience
• Deep understanding of branch office operations, including P&L responsibility
• Empathetic leader with strong emotional intelligence and excellent communication at all levels
• KPI-oriented, well organized
