Regional Food Safety Manager

About the role

Chipotle is seeking a Regional Food Safety Manager to champion world‑class food safety across its restaurants in the New York, New Jersey, Washington DC and Philadelphia regions. You will act as the subject‑matter expert, guiding teams through daily operations, audits, crisis response and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide food‑safety expertise and coaching to restaurant leaders and cross‑functional partners.
• Plan and conduct on‑site restaurant visits to assess compliance, mentor staff and embed safety culture.
• Lead emergency food‑safety escalations, triage issues, coordinate stakeholder response and manage hotline incidents.
• Drive data‑based compliance reporting, training programs and collaboration with Compliance, Training and Legal teams.
• Contribute to national food‑safety policies, procedures and educational materials.
• Develop proficiency in food‑safety tools and systems, empowering teams to act as safety ambassadors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in General Science, Food Science & Technology, Human Nutrition, Hospitality Management or Business Administration (required).
• Relevant food‑safety certification such as CP‑FS (preferred).

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of food‑safety standards, regulations and audit processes.
• Ability to analyze compliance data and translate findings into actionable plans.
• Effective coaching and mentorship capabilities for restaurant teams.
