Recreation Site Supervisor – Part‑Time (PTNB)

About the role

The Recreation Site Supervisor supports the Recreation Coordinator in delivering safe, organized sports and activity programs for the community. This part‑time position involves direct interaction with participants, coaches, parents, and officials to ensure events run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise recreational activities and sporting events.
• Manage participants, coaches, spectators, parents, and officials on site.
• Maintain and care for equipment, tools, and facilities.
• Communicate program information to the public and handle inquiries tactfully.
• Operate office equipment, computerized scoreboard panels, and occasional city vehicles.
• Follow written and verbal instructions, including referee calls during games.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (or current enrollment).
• At least six months of related experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Minimum age of 16 years.
• Valid Utah driver’s license.
• Basic knowledge of the assigned sport or activity and strong English usage.
• Demonstrated responsibility, good judgment, and ability to motivate participants.

Required skills

• Operation of office equipment (telephone, copier, computer).
• Use of a computerized scoreboard control panel.
• Handling of specialized sport‑related equipment.
• Occasional operation of a city vehicle.
