Radiology Technologist – Weekend Shift

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System at Akron General Medical Center is seeking a weekend Radiology Technologist to join a dynamic team in a Level One Trauma Center. This permanent, onsite position offers exposure to a wide range of imaging modalities and patient care settings.

Key responsibilities

• Adjust and control complex electronic x‑ray and fluoroscopic equipment for diagnostic examinations.
• Prepare and position patients safely to obtain high‑quality images while minimizing radiation dose.
• Select appropriate technical factors such as kilovolts and milliamperes for each study.
• Maintain equipment in working condition and report any malfunctions.
• Assist in keeping the radiology area sanitary and comply with radiology information system entry requirements.
• Support the radiologic student program and complete mandatory education and training.

Required profile

• Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered Radiographer (R) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Current state radiology license.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred: at least one year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist.

Required skills

• Operation of x‑ray and fluoroscopic equipment.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and dose optimization.
• Patient positioning and preparation for imaging procedures.
• Use of radiology information systems for accurate data entry.
• Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
