Radiology Technologist – Evening/Night Shift

About the role

Join the radiology team at Akron General Medical Center, Cleveland Clinic’s Level One Trauma Center, working evening and night rotations. You will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, support trauma and emergency care, and contribute to a high‑performing, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and adjust complex x‑ray and fluoroscopic equipment to obtain high‑quality images while minimizing radiation dose.
• Prepare, position, and instruct patients for procedures, ensuring safety and optimal image acquisition.
• Calculate and select appropriate technical factors such as kilovolts, milliamperes, and film type.
• Maintain equipment in working condition, report malfunctions, and assist with equipment cleaning.
• Enter accurate data into the radiology information system and support the radiologic student program.

Required profile

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered Radiographer (R) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Current state radiology license and Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability to work evening/night rotations and lift patients as needed.

Required skills

• Proficient operation of x‑ray and fluoroscopic imaging equipment.
• Patient positioning and safety procedures for radiographic exams.
• Technical factor selection (kV, mA, exposure time) for optimal imaging.
• Radiology information system data entry and equipment maintenance.
