Radiation Therapist I – Day Shift

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System seeks a dedicated Radiation Therapist I to join the Hillcrest Hospital team in Mayfield Heights. This full‑time, day‑shift position involves delivering prescribed radiation treatments to cancer patients and collaborating closely with physicians and dosimetrists.

Key responsibilities

• Determine and deliver appropriate patient treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and dosimetrists.
• Monitor and document patient conditions, reporting any adverse reactions promptly.
• Position patients and select anatomic/technical parameters accurately for each treatment.
• Check, calibrate, and operate linear accelerators and related radiation equipment.

Required profile

• Graduate of a CAHEA‑approved School of Radiation Therapy or ARRT‑registered Radiation Therapist in good standing.
• Current state licensure as a Radiation Therapist and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience with radiation oncology EMR systems and ability to record and verify treatments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with patients under physical and emotional stress.

Required skills

• Operation of linear accelerators and delivery of external beam radiation therapy.
• Familiarity with IMRT, IGRT, and CT simulation techniques.
• Proficiency in using radiation therapy electronic medical records.
