About the role

This position assesses patients and safely performs routine radiographic procedures in accordance with prescribed safety procedures and protocols. The technologist also serves as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy.
• Use radiology information systems to facilitate patient care.
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain informed consent.
• Independently operate imaging equipment, including placement of tubes and administration of contrast.
• Review patient images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Complete timely quality‑control procedures and report any issues.
• Assist with departmental operations such as inventory, staff schedules, and equipment maintenance.
• Adapt communication style to respect patient privacy and cultural needs.

Required profile

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• No prior work experience required; preferred radiologic technology experience.
• ARRT registration or eligibility within 90 days of hire, plus current unrestricted state license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Experience using radiology information systems.
