Quality Technician - Feedstock Inspection

About the role

American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) is looking for a Quality Technician for Feedstock Inspection at its pilot plant just outside Reno, Nevada. You will safely inspect incoming feedstock material and provide detailed reports used by teams upstream and downstream of the operation, ranging from pack-to-cell material disassembly to writing Standard Operating Procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and label incoming feedstock based on quality metrics
• Disassemble feedstock safely, recording accurate step-by-step processes
• Document new processes and challenges
• Train and support team operations daily
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet document requirements
• Support audits and ensure records are accurate, traceable and accessible
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area

Required profile

• 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, servicing or general analysis of large battery systems, or proficiency with document management and writing SOPs
• Hands-on work with power tools
• Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
• Strong command of written and spoken English
• Ability to stand and sit for long periods, bend at the waist, lift 50 lbs unassisted, and wear PPE including eye/face protection, hearing protection, respirators and protective footwear

Required skills

• Preferred: experience in engineering, construction, industrial or highly regulated industries
• Preferred: knowledge of energized electrical systems and low to high voltage systems
• Preferred: professional training or certification for hand tools, NFPA 70E and document writing
• Preferred: DMS/EDMS platforms and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with SharePoint or Teams
