Purchasing Specialist – Center of Excellence

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Purchasing Specialist to join the Center of Excellence at Michelli Weighing and Measurement. In this position you will help streamline procurement processes, secure the best value from suppliers and support project delivery across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors to source materials, components and services.
• Process OFI requests, create sales orders when applicable and forward order packets to local offices.
• Create purchase orders, negotiate terms and ensure timely delivery of products and services.
• Analyze pricing and contracts to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality.
• Collaborate with operations to monitor stock levels and place orders that meet project deadlines.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives within the Center of Excellence.
• Provide regular reports on purchasing activity, supplier performance, cost savings and risks to finance.
• Work closely with operations, project management and finance to understand material needs and specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or supply‑chain roles.
• Strong communication, high attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
