Public Area Attendant

About the role

The Loews Coral Gables Hotel, a AAA Four-Diamond property in The Plaza Coral Gables, is looking for a Public Area Attendant. The team supports 242 guestrooms, four dining outlets, a spa, fitness center, rooftop pool and 30,000 square feet of event space. The attendant keeps public areas clean and welcoming, acting as the guardian of first impressions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain immaculate public spaces such as lobbies, restrooms, elevators and stairwells.
• Stock and organize housekeeping supplies so storerooms stay neat and secure.
• Report maintenance issues promptly.
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely, following all guidelines.
• Assist guests with accurate information about hotel facilities and services.
• Attend departmental meetings and collaborate with the team.
• Follow OSHA safety protocols and hotel emergency procedures, and maintain professional appearance and conduct.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and attend all mandatory training.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; previous cleaning or hotel/resort experience preferred.
• Basic English skills preferred.
• Able to walk, stand, reach and bend, and to lift and pull items up to 25 lbs repeatedly during a shift.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
