Property Tax Consultant – Incentives & Abatement

About the role

We are seeking a Property Tax Consultant to join our growing incentive and abatement practice. This relationship‑forward position blends technical tax knowledge with strong people skills to support county, school district, and corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client engagements across incentive/abatement and property tax consulting practices.
• Build and maintain relationships with county officials, school district representatives, appraisal districts, and clients.
• Prepare abatement applications, incentive proposals, and supporting documentation.
• Represent clients and the firm in meetings, hearings, and public forums with local taxing authorities.
• Perform financial analysis in Excel to model tax savings, valuation positions, and investment impacts.
• Track deadlines, manage deliverables, and coordinate across client accounts and internal teams.
• Travel for client meetings, hearings, site visits, and engagements with government entities.
• Support property tax engagements for commercial and industrial portfolios, including data gathering and appeal preparation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Interest or background in property tax, real estate valuation, appraisal, government relations, or economic development.
• Strong communication and public‑speaking abilities.
• Demonstrated relationship‑building and trust‑earning skills.
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and dependable.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
