Global Workplace Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Workplace Lead to own Runway's offices worldwide, overseeing location strategy, build‑outs, and the day‑to‑day experience for employees and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Handle daily office operations including cleaning, repairs, food, supplies, access control, and health & safety.
• Own the workplace budget, reporting rent, capex and operating spend.
• Run onsite programming such as all‑hands, offsites, team events, screenings and partner visits.
• Determine space needs based on hiring forecasts with People and Finance.
• Negotiate leases, manage brokers, legal and finance on terms, and oversee design, construction and furniture projects.
• Coordinate with IT and Security for network, AV and physical access before openings.
• Set up local vendors, services and compliance in new markets.
• Travel occasionally to other offices for openings or large events.

Required profile

• 7+ years in corporate real estate, facilities or workplace operations.
• Deep project‑management experience across construction schedules, permitting and short‑notice logistics.
• Hands‑on lease and vendor contract experience with budget ownership.
• Cross‑functional collaboration with Finance, People, IT and Security.
• Experience taking at least one office from site visit through opening day.
• International real‑estate, employment or compliance experience is a plus.
