Project Superintendent – Millwright (Traveling)

About the role

The Project Superintendent (PS) will lead field and administrative operations for construction projects, ensuring safety, cost control, productivity, profitability, and quality. This traveling position supports projects ranging from $20M to $50M and may oversee one or more field superintendents.

Key responsibilities

• Review shop drawings, submittals, change orders and purchase orders.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop the Project Management Plan, including scope, procurement, environmental, schedule, financial, quality, safety, and risk components.
• Conduct weekly coordination meetings, prepare daily field status reports, and document constructability issues.
• Develop and manage construction plans, ensuring work aligns with contract terms and profitability goals.
• Maintain project schedules using CPM techniques, LEAN processes, and weekly work plans.
• Identify, quantify, and mitigate potential claims.
• Provide leadership to project teams and subcontractors, overseeing quality and safety plans per Sundt standards.
• Ensure timely completion of punch lists and support start‑up and commissioning activities.

Required profile

• Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory abilities.
• Four‑year degree (or equivalent experience) preferred.
• 3‑10 years of experience in construction superintending roles, depending on project size.
