Project Manager II

About the role

The Project Manager II will lead commissioning projects from level 1 to 5, overseeing client relationships, project teams, finances and business growth. The role ensures safety compliance, resource planning and successful delivery of the scope of work.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Competent Person for safety, ensuring JHAs, toolbox talks and required training are completed.
• Forecast resource needs, billing projections and expenses using the company’s accounting, project management and resource planning systems.
• Develop and manage project budgets, Schedule of Values, and milestone schedules, monitoring variances and change orders.
• Lead document control, stakeholder communication and coordination of design, construction and client activities.
• Supervise and mentor project team members, including field technical staff and subcontractors.
• Participate in business development, present proposals and expand contracted service offerings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 6‑8 years of related project management experience.
• Valid driver’s license, passport and required safety certifications (OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, first responder).
• Experience supervising multiple employees and managing financial aspects of projects.
• Strong ability to read technical documents, write reports and present information to clients and internal teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management software.
• Proficiency with scheduling software.
• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software.
• Ability to work with psychrometric charts and energy‑transfer calculations (heat, hydronic, air, electricity, kinetic).
• Application of Ohm’s law in electrical systems.
• Knowledge of contracts and Scope of Work documentation.
• Understanding of CxE‑1 level technical concepts.
