Project Manager II – Communications

About the role

OTTO Engineering’s Communications Division is seeking a Project Manager II to lead product development from concept through production. The role coordinates engineering, sourcing, manufacturing and external partners to deliver rugged communication systems for mission‑critical customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop product requirements, schedules and milestones that meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Coordinate internal resources and third‑party vendors to ensure flawless project execution.
• Maintain NRE hours, tooling, part and test costs; manage BOMs and engineering change notices.
• Run weekly project meetings and present monthly reviews to senior management.
• Adhere to OTTO’s phase‑gate process and ensure all documentation is complete.

Required profile

• BS in Engineering (ME, EE, SW, or related) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience, preferably in an engineering environment.
• Strong people and communication skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into detailed task plans.

Required skills

• Microsoft Project (or equivalent project‑management software).
• Hands‑on engineering experience from concept through production.

• Base salary $80,000–$100,000 per year, based on qualifications.
