Senior Project Manager – Communications

About the role

OTTO Engineering is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead communications‑system product development from concept through production. The role coordinates engineering, sourcing, manufacturing and external partners to deliver mission‑critical solutions on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Develop product requirements, schedules and milestones that meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Coordinate internal resources and third‑party vendors for flawless project execution.
• Apply modern project‑management tools to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Maintain NRE hours, tooling, part and test costs; manage BOMs and engineering change notices.
• Run weekly project meetings and present monthly reviews to senior management.
• Adhere to OTTO’s phase‑gate process and ensure all phase requirements are documented.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ME, EE, SW or related).
• Minimum 7 years of project‑management experience, including hands‑on engineering from concept to production.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into detailed task plans and to negotiate without direct authority.
• Strong problem‑solving, multitasking and planning skills in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Microsoft Project (or equivalent project‑management software).
• Experience launching projects in a production facility.

• Base salary $105,000‑$125,000 per year, plus profit‑sharing bonus paid twice a year.
