Manufacturing Science Intern

About the role

Lilly is seeking a Manufacturing Science Intern for a 12‑week summer program starting May or June 2027. Interns will work on real‑world projects within Tech Services Manufacturing Sciences or Quality, gaining hands‑on experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical solutions to manufacturing technical projects and support non‑routine investigations.
• Prepare technical documents such as reports, change controls, regulatory submissions, deviations, and protocols.
• Analyze process intermediates, active pharmaceutical ingredients, and drug products using wet chemistry, HPLC, ICP, AA, titration, and microbiological assays.
• Run a technical improvement agenda, monitor statistical metrics, and drive process improvements.
• Present project highlights and findings to science and manufacturing professionals at the end of the internship.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a BS or MS scientific discipline program, graduating by August 2029.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
