Program Manager – Construction Safety

About the role

The Owner Construction Safety Program Manager reports to the Technical Pre‑Construction Services Director and provides safety and risk‑control oversight for construction projects across Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus. This full‑time position works days, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm, ensuring safety requirements are communicated, monitored, and enforced throughout each project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the corporate construction safety manual and align it with project‑specific safety plans.
• Monitor contractor compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, OSHA standards, and contractual requirements.
• Conduct site surveys, safety inspections, and accident investigations; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Compile safety performance data, communicate results, and advise contractors on technical safety solutions.
• Facilitate regular toolbox and safety meetings, providing training and technical orientations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in health & safety, construction management, or a related field.
• Certified OSHA 10/30‑Hour Instructor and Certified First Aid/CPR.
• Minimum 5 years of health and safety experience in construction.
• Ability to read, interpret, and communicate safety rules, write reports, and present to groups.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel domestically and internationally (passport required).
