Program Manager – Composite Manufacturing

About the role

The Program Manager will be the primary accountable owner for aerospace customer programs, overseeing schedule, cost, quality and customer satisfaction from award through delivery. This hands‑on role blends traditional program oversight with active shop‑floor involvement to solve real‑time manufacturing challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end program performance for assigned accounts, managing schedules, budgets, quality metrics and on‑time delivery.
• Serve as the main customer‑facing representative, leading program reviews, issue resolution and communication with OEMs such as GE, Lockheed Martin, KHI, Middle River and Pratt & Whitney.
• Work directly on the production floor to identify bottlenecks, quality escapes and schedule risks, partnering with production, engineering and quality teams to implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain integrated program schedules, risk registers and action‑item trackers; lead cross‑functional IPT and milestone reviews.
• Identify gaps in current processes and the MRP system, leading initiatives to improve data accuracy, planning logic and system utilization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of program management experience in the aerospace industry, preferably in components or systems manufacturing.
• Proven success managing programs for major OEMs or Tier‑1 suppliers.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production scheduling and MRP/ERP environments.

Required skills

• Experience with MRP/ERP systems; PLEX preferred.
• Ability to analyze production data, identify root causes and drive data‑informed solutions.
• Lean/continuous‑improvement methodology implementation.
• Effective cross‑functional collaboration with production, engineering, quality and supply‑chain teams.
