Professional Liability Attorney – A&E Errors & Omissions / Construction Defect

About the role

Join a litigation team focused on professional liability for architects, engineers, developers and contractors. The position can be based in New York City, Westchester, or Melville and offers mentorship and growth within a nationally recognized Am Law 200 firm.

Key responsibilities

• Represent design professionals, developers, and contractors in complex construction defect and A&E errors & omissions cases.
• Manage a caseload independently, including trial preparation and courtroom advocacy at state and federal levels.
• Collaborate with senior shareholders and associates to develop case strategy and achieve creative resolutions for clients and insurers.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience handling construction defect or A&E errors & omissions matters.
• Proven trial track record and experience in both state and federal courts.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently with appropriate support.

Required skills

• Strong analytical thinking, legal research, and legal writing abilities.
• Effective communication skills for client interaction and courtroom presentation.
