About the role

This position coaches athletes of all levels, from novice to senior, in gymnastics. You will organize and instruct individual athletes and small groups, ensuring safety and following lesson plans.

Key responsibilities

  • Coach lower‑level programs and monitor the work area for safety.
  • Explain and enforce safety rules for sports and equipment use.
  • Assess client needs and design workout regimes.
  • Offer class alternatives to accommodate different fitness levels.
  • Track client progress and document results accurately.
  • Provide basic first aid for injuries.
  • Maintain and repair exercise equipment, ordering supplies as needed.
  • Follow guidelines from Assistant and Head Coach and communicate progress to supervisors and parents.

Required profile

  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • No prior experience required; preferred 2 years in a related sport.
  • CPR certification (training within 30 days of hire) and a USA sport‑specific certification.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and travel for competitions.
  • Self‑directed with strong organizational abilities.
