About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Certified Cycling Daytime Instructor to lead safe, effective, and motivating group fitness classes for participants of all levels. The role involves delivering cutting‑edge cycling sessions, promoting fitness and positive self‑esteem, and providing leadership and education throughout each class.

Key responsibilities

• Execute cycling classes within program guidelines, ensuring a motivating environment for beginners to advanced exercisers.
• Maintain certifications for the specific group fitness class taught and stay current with fitness trends.
• Perform general duties such as class maintenance, equipment substitution, and safety monitoring.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure participant safety throughout each session.

Required profile

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Applicable certification for the specific group fitness class taught.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead classes up to 1.5 hours in length.

Required skills

• Computer skills for data entry and retrieval of participant information.
• Proficiency with Windows‑style applications and keyboard use.
