Fitness Center Associate – Full Time

About the role

This full‑time position supports Ochsner’s mission of delivering exceptional care by providing outstanding customer service to members and guests at the fitness center. The associate will handle front‑desk duties, cash handling, bookings, and supervise children’s activities while ensuring a safe, clean environment.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome members and guests, address concerns, and provide information on programs such as membership, Kidsports, childcare, gymnastics, group fitness, and aquatics.
• Enforce fitness center policies, maintain a clean and safe work area, and perform cash handling and booking tasks.
• Supervise and engage children in scheduled activities, monitor childcare areas, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Required profile

• At least 16 years old and currently enrolled in high school.
• Minimum of 1 year customer‑service experience.
• CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows‑style applications and data‑entry software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, stand for prolonged periods, and lift moderate weights.
