Production Planning Analyst

About the role

As a Production Planning Analyst at 3M, you will collaborate with global teams to drive effective scheduling, inventory management and supply chain optimization. The role offers the chance to apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies and lead cross‑functional improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule production, manage inventory, process orders and prevent backorders while maintaining supplier communication.
• Analyze working and non‑working inventories to meet compliance and investment targets.
• Publish and present service and inventory metrics, conduct gap analysis and report capacity requirements.
• Analyze material flow parameters (lot size, cycle frequency, safety stock, etc.) and manage supply‑chain SKU data.
• Utilize supply‑chain tools such as Factory Planner, COMS, GGSM, GDMR, IMES, Invento, Peoplesoft, SAP and BI.
• Lead Green Belt projects and apply Lean Six Sigma to improve supply‑chain speed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or in‑progress) from an accredited institution.
• At least three years of experience in supply‑chain planning, logistics or manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
