Production Coordinator

About the role

Saputo, a top 10 global dairy processor, is hiring a Production Coordinator for its manufacturing plant. The role analyses production execution transactions on the shop floor, ensures prompt closure of process orders, acts as a liaison between operators and supervisors, identifies efficiency opportunities during shifts and manages inventory control by keeping accurate counts and communicating needs to warehouse leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Review open process orders using SAP reports, ensure correct goods issue and receipt and document ingredients, raw materials and output materials
• Track down and fix entry errors, backflush packaging and non-batch-managed materials, and close process orders once movements are confirmed and balanced
• Create cycle counts of ZMIL and ZSFG materials, run daily cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies
• Recommend changes to manufacturing procedures to maintain product specifications, minimize waste and reduce costs
• Assist in planning and scheduling daily plant operations and verify products meet specifications before shipment
• Correct faulty goods movements, communicate errors to logistics and inventory concerns, and keep system transactions accurate and timely
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and equipment, follow safety rules, and work with plant supervision and inspectors

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; associate degree preferred
• Understanding of the production process and mechanical/analytical abilities
• Ability to count articles on shelves, racks and pallets and to safely operate a lift truck, including a lift truck certification
• Shift flexibility for a 24/7 operation, with possible rotating, day, swing or night shifts and weekends
• Physical demands: work in a noisy manufacturing environment (noise above 85 dB with hearing protection), stand, walk, bend, climb stairs and lift up to 35 lbs

Required skills

• Excel and SAP; experience with transaction codes such as COGI, COR2, COR3, COR6N, COOISPI, MIGO, MMBE, MB-51, MI01, MI04 preferred
• Reading and interpreting inventory reports and operating procedures
• Organization, prioritization, attention to detail and teamwork

What we offer

• Pay rate of $28.11 per hour
• Vacation coverage with a primary shift of Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday, 6am-6:30pm
