About the role
M&M Productions USA is looking for general stagehands to support live events such as conferences, live events and meetings. The successful candidate works closely with the production team to handle set-up and strike of events. The position is based in Knoxville and involves multiple locations.
Key responsibilities
- Move heavy objects.
- Set up and tear down lighting, sound and projection equipment.
- Build staging and set up, position and strike drapery and stage sets.
- Set up cables, lights and other A/V equipment.
- Unload and load trucks.
Required profile
- A background working as a stagehand, plus some technical knowledge and experience with audio-visual equipment.
- Excellent stamina and strength.
- Ability to collaborate with others, work after hours and meet deadlines, and follow instructions under pressure.
- Willingness to adhere to safety policies.
- An apprenticeship or on-the-job experience is advantageous; carpentry, electronics or construction experience is a plus.
What we offer
- Schedules include day shift, evening shift, night shift, self-determined schedule and weekend availability.
- Paid for a minimum of 4 hours per call.
