Production Associate (Days / Nights Shifts)

About the role

American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) develops and commercializes sustainable, domestically sourced critical battery materials through lithium-ion battery recycling and battery metal extraction technologies. This Production Associate works on the shop floor, operating and troubleshooting ancillary equipment and machines, assisting with housekeeping and material transport, monitoring machine alarms and performing quality checks. The position reports to the Production Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare battery feedstock for the daily production run and supply product to the line during the infeed process.
• Pack finished product into the appropriate packaging and pallet configuration, and check it meets customer requirements.
• Monitor and respond to machine alarms, doing basic troubleshooting and repairs.
• Perform quality checks and complete physical tasks as directed, including pushing, pulling, gripping, twisting and reaching.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and escalate technical problems to the appropriate support groups and leaders.
• Evaluate assembly processes and equipment for continuous improvement and support cross-functional teams.

Required profile

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and to stand, sit and walk for prolonged periods.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Punctuality, a professional can-do attitude and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to wear PPE such as eye and face protection, hearing protection, respirators and protective footwear, and to work in noisy, dusty and chemically exposed environments.
• 20/20 or corrected vision.
