Product Development Technician – R&D

About the role

The Product Development Technician supports Cresco Labs’ strategy to create, evaluate, and commercialize innovative cannabis products. Working primarily in the Joliet, IL facility, you will collaborate with R&D, Operations, and Quality teams to ensure product quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the development team on new product creation, product optimization, and ingredient evaluation projects.
• Plan, execute, and document product and process development trials from concept through commercialization.
• Maintain expertise in laboratory equipment, operations, and troubleshooting across the Cresco network.
• Prepare samples, conduct ingredient screenings, and perform shelf‑life studies.
• Provide manufacturing support and technical documentation for product launches.
• Work onsite in Joliet for the majority of hours and travel to other facilities as needed.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in product development or laboratory environments.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with R&D, Operations, and Quality teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance.
• Willingness to travel to in‑state or out‑of‑state sites.
