Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Strategic Procurement Specialist will develop and execute sourcing strategies, lead competitive procurement processes, and manage supplier relationships to ensure cost‑effective, reliable supply of goods and services for Bureau Veritas.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement travel and real‑estate sourcing strategies to support business objectives.
• Lead end‑to‑end competitive bidding processes, including scope development, supplier engagement and award recommendation.
• Conduct market analysis, supplier benchmarking and risk assessments to inform sourcing decisions.
• Partner with Legal to review and finalize contractual agreements.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing structures and contracts while minimizing operational and legal risks.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships across regions, acting as primary point of contact for performance and issue resolution.
• Perform spend analysis, cost modeling and track procurement metrics to realize savings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field.
• 5+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience, preferably managing travel, real‑estate, fleet or lab consumables.
• Demonstrated ability to lead RFP processes and deliver measurable cost savings.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, cost models).
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
